Action Research

Action Research is extremely important. I strongly believe that every administrator should allocate time to do inquiry research. One of the things that I have learned is that according to Danna's work and other scholars have pointed out that action research is by far the best of the three educational research traditions available in today's educational environment. Furthermore, I learned that action research is a powerful tool for principals when planning professional development. One clear example is the meeting I had with my principal and one of my coworkers this Friday. In the meeting one of my coworkers my principal and viewed and desegregated grade level data. These data will be presented in our staff development this Monday. Taking part on the planning and research for our next professional development made my appreciate and open my to the fact that there is a broader prospective and increase my knowledge in educational research and i hope that when the time comes and I am an administrator I will allocate time and do some administration inquiry. In addition, I more aware of the planning that administrators perform and the time they take out of their busy schedule to make time to meet students, parents and staff demands. I truly believe that as an administrator I will need to be on top of new research and their developments. I will commit to learn and implement all my learning in my daily schedule to be a productive and efficient leader in my school and district.

Educational leaders can use blogs as online dairy they can post commentary or news about the research they are engaged. For instance, creating a web blogs you can add text, images, and links to other blogs as well as post comments in an interactive format. This is amazing because it allows you to view the blogs and give feedback from anyone in the world with an open blog community.

  1. It's good to see that you are going to make every attempt to always include time for research. Setting your mind to it now will help you keep that focus when you become an administrator.
